Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke’’s annual research conference is being held on Wednesday 4 March 2009 at The Samuel Irwin Lecture Theatre, Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.

The keynote address this year will be by Dr PG Wilklund of Umea University Hospital in Sweden, a pioneer of stroke registers.  This is a topical subject as the DHSSPS recently agreed to establish a stroke register in Northern Ireland as part of the Stroke Strategy.

There will also be presentations from a range of local researchers who have received funding from Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke.  The full agenda will appear HERE shortly.
