Applications are invited for the following posts, each for the duration of 12 months commencing 5 August 2009.
Applicants must possess a BDS degree or equivalent and have full registration with the GDC or have passed ORE (Overseas Recognition Exam) as at closing date. Applicants who are appointed will be allocated to one of the 3 main hospitals in Northern Ireland.
The above posts have the required Postgraduate Dental Dean’s educational approval. A waiting list may be compiled for any future posts that become available. Only applications on an official form will be considered at short-listing. CV’s will not be accepted.
It is anticipated that interviews for these posts will take place on Tuesday 26 May 2009.

URGENT RESPONSE TO PMETB TRAINEE SURVEY REQUIRED.
The Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) have just recently commenced its survey of all Specialty and Foundation trainees in the UK. You may have received an email already from PMETB or if not will do so soon. The purpose of this survey is for trainees to give feedback to a third party which in turn can then be anonymously returned to the Deanery - NIMDTA.The information received gives NIMDTA an opportunity to address any areas of concern raised but also to share good practice across Specialties and providers of training. The feedback received has proved to be very useful to date.
At present, the response rate from Northern Ireland trainees is 32%.
This is a major concern and I would therefore encourage you to complete the survey when it is sent to you. You should note that this survey is a requirement, and is part of your conditions of training.Please note the closing date for responses is Monday 23 March 2009.
