The third Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM) Northern Ireland Regional Conference is now open for registration. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Engaging, Leading and Improving’. The conference will be held on Thursday 9th March 2017 at Riddell Hall, Belfast.
As you know Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland is currently on the cusp of a radical transformation. Following on from the last conference, where Sir Liam Donaldson talked about the importance of quality and safety in a modern health care system, this year delegates will have the privilege of hearing Professor Bengoa share the findings from the expert panel review, and the vision of future healthcare in Northern Ireland and the work of the transformation implementation team to date.
FMLM hope you will come and hear from their many distinguished leaders firsthand, join in the discussions and have the opportunity to debate around how we can best collaborate to achieve this vision.
This is a great opportunity for all doctors in Northern Ireland regardless of specialty or seniority. FMLM have also called for poster abstracts – go to: https://www.fmlm.ac.uk/events/fmlm-northern-ireland-regional-conference-0 for further information.
Sir Liam Donaldson stated, “the quality and safety of care will only get better, if those who deliver the care are not only involved in improving it, but are leading the improvement effort”. (The Right Time, the Right Place, Donaldson Report, 2014)
