Please note that at present there are no dates for the Teaching the Teacher course arranged. Further dates will be arranged from September 2011 and details will appear here shortly.
Management Development Programme for SpRs
As part of the SpR training it is a requirement to attend a Management Development Programme for SpRs. NIMDTA provide a course for Specialist Registrars who are in their final year of training in Northern Ireland. It aims to provide SpRs with the necessary management skills to become an NHS Consultant. Delivered by management consultants at The Beeches Management Centre.
Please be advised that the Management Training Courses for 11 - 12 have now been released on Intrepid Course Manager.
Course bookings will be verified by the Deanery to ensure that those in their final year of training (NTN holders), within a Northern Ireland Deanery Training Programme, are given priority. Unfortunately, those trainees who do not meet these criteria will have their booking cancelled.

Regional Training Days
A number of Paediatric Study Days have been arranged for this training year. The following have been confirmed:
- GI / Hepatology 9th December 2011

- Diabetes 24th February 2012
- Autistic Spectrum Disorders 21st March 2012
- Respiratory 27th April 2012
- Renal 18th May 2012
These will be half day sessions and are open to all Paediatric trainees. If you would like further information or are interested in attending, please enroll via Intrepid Course Manager.
Evidence Based Medicine
The Evidence Based Medicine course has been scheduled for March and April, to be held over three days - 13th March, 3rd & 24th April. There are 10 places available and preference will be given to ST4 and above trainees who apply before 13th February. It will then be opened out to others with a final closing date of 20th February.

Ill Medical Patients’ Acute Care and Treatment
Designed by the Federation of Royal Medical Colleges and the Royal College of Anaesthetists, this 2-day course introduces the principles and practice of acute general medical care and the related knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes.
The course provides senior trainees (CT1/2) in Medicine with key point presentations, workshops, "hands on" skills stations, and critically ill patient scenarios to enhance skills needed for dealing with life-threatening medical emergencies.
THE DATES FOR THE NEXT COURSE HAVE BEEN PROVISIONALLY SET FOR 16 & 17 NOVEMBER 2011, FURTHER INFORMATION AND BOOKING ACCESS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE VIA THE NIMDTA COURSE MANAGER SITE SOON.
