Clinical immunology is a clinical and laboratory discipline, which has developed rapidly over the last 10 years. The Regional Immunology Service for Northern Ireland is based at the Royal Group of Hospitals Trust. The practice of immunology combines laboratory based work with specialist clinical practice in both adult and paediatric fields. Research is an integral part of immunology and is positively encouraged.
