2012 OFFERS

Offers will be issued to applicants via Konetic or Pathway, as in previous years.  The proposed UK System for Medical Specialty Training (UKOS) will be implemented for August 2013 recruitment. 

Offers will be made as each specialty recruitment exercise is completed.  Applicants will need to make a decision on an offer withing 48 hours of receipt otherwise their offer will expire and will be issued to the next candidate on the waiting list.  This year you can hold an offer from any specialty in the UK while waiting for other offers in Round 1A.  All offers in Round 1A will be issued by Friday 9 March 2012 and candidates will have until noon on Monday 19 March 2012 to confirm their decision.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT HEALTH ASSESSMENT

Trainees who have accepted an offer and are required to have an occupational health assessment will be notified by email.  A pre-employment health questionnaire should be completed and taken to the assessment, along with a form of photographic ID (passport or driving licence). 

Appointments should be made as soon as possible as it can be a lengthy process.  Please click here for further information in regard to the content of the assessment.

Trainees will not be able to commence their posts without having completed an occupational health assessment.

ACCESSNI CHECK

All trainees appointed to a training scheme within Northern Ireland are required to complete an AccessNI check before commencing their posts; completed copies of these forms will have been submitted during document checks at interview.  Payment of the AccessNI fee is the responsibility of the trainee, therefore a cheque will be requested by email upon acceptance of an offer.  Please note that the AccessNI form will not be sent off until payment has been received and processing by AccessNI can take approximately 6 weeks.

Trainees will not be able to commence their posts without having completed an AccessNI check.
