Peer Mentoring Scheme

NIMDTA is running a Peer Mentoring scheme which is aimed at developing an informal supportive relationship between more junior trainees (mentees) and senior trainees (mentors). This scheme was developed to both support junior colleagues and to develop skills, such as listening, communication and solution based thinking, in more senior trainees.

Applications are open for senior trainees (ST3+) to apply for the role of mentor.  The feedback from those involved in the scheme to date has been very positive.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor please complete the application form and return to  You will be required to attend a training event to gain skills to help you in your role as a mentor prior to being matched with a mentee. You can book these sessions by clicking on the relevant link below. Progression to becoming an active mentor will require a satisfactorily completed and supported application form and attendance at the training session.
