Director of Professional Development

Remuneration: 5 PAs (consultant contract) or 5 sessions (GP/GDP Educator scale) to be incorporated into consultant job plan or equivalent in agreement with the employing authority

Tenure: Permanent

The successful applicant will join a team of enthusiastic senior clinical educators and work in a leadership position across Northern Ireland. As Director of Professional Development he/she will assist the Postgraduate Medical Dean by providing direction and oversight for NIMDTA’s activities in promoting a culture of educational excellence (Academic, Research, Leadership, Quality Improvement, Simulation, Technology Enhanced Learning, Placement Quality, Deanery visits), engagement (trainees, trainers, clinical facilitators and lay representatives) and professional development (Faculty Development, Flagship Educational Events, Trainer Recognition, Revalidation, Careers and Professional Support)

GP Appraisers / Lead Appraiser

General Practice Appraisers

(NIMDTA are compiling a waiting list for GP Appraisers for a period of 12 months from 1 January 2018)

Salary:            GP00 – GP01 (£8,180.70 – £8,521.60 pa)
Commitment:  1 PA
Location:         GP Appraiser posts will be based in various Trust areas throughout Northern Ireland

To undertake an agreed number of appraisal interviews and to participate in the quality assurance of the Northern Ireland GP Appraisal system.

General Practice Lead Appraiser

Salary:            GP01 – GP02 (£17,043.20 – £17,610.60 pa)
Commitment: 2 PAs

To be responsible for the co-ordination and management of a team of local GP Appraisers. To undertake an agreed number of appraisal interviews and to participate constructively and fully in the quality assurance of the GP Appraisal system. To facilitate the implementation of revalidation through the GMP Framework.
