Professional Support Lead 

Remuneration: 2 PAs or 2 sessions (Consultant or GP03 Educator scale) to be incorporated into job plan in agreement with the employing authority.

Tenure: Permanent

The successful applicant will join a team of enthusiastic Senior Clinical Educators and will contribute to the work of NIMDTA Professional Support Unit (PSU) by providing one-to-one support services including coaching and mentoring to doctors and dentists in training. This group of doctors and dentists includes International Medical Graduates, Less than Full Time (LTFT) trainees and those with performance, conduct or well-being issues whose training progression is at risk.  The post also involves delivery of education to trainees and faculty.

ASSOCIATE DEAN FOR VISITS

Remuneration: 3 PAS to be incorporated into the Consultant job plan in agreement with the employing authority OR at GP03 on the GP Educator scale.

Tenure: Permanent

The successful applicant will join a team of enthusiastic senior clinical educators and work in a leadership position across Northern Ireland.

As Associate Dean for Visits and a NIMDTA Senior Educator he/she will assist the Director of Professional Development and the Postgraduate Medical Dean to improve the quality of postgraduate hospital-based education and training placements.

He/she will work closely with educators from NIMDTA and Local Education Providers (LEPs) to review training provided in hospital-based education and training units in accordance with NIMDTA’s Quality Management role. He/she will promote excellence by supporting continuous improvements in safe supervision, trainee engagement, quality of training and trainee experience. He/she will liaise closely with Directors of Medical Education and NIMDTA Educators to identify, highlight, share, spread and embed good practice in postgraduate medical and dental education and training.
