You are warmly invited to attend the Annual Educator Conference which is being held this year for the first time in conjunction with our undergraduate education colleagues from QUB on Friday 18th September 2015 at the Belfast Castle.
This all-day event is targeted at the medical and dental professionals who provide leadership in undergraduate and postgraduate education of doctors and dentists in training in Northern Ireland.
The aim of this conference is to inform, equip and inspire Northern Ireland’s Medical and Dental Educators.
The theme of the Conference this year is on Transitions, Career Progression and Behaviour.
We are delighted to attract such a high calibre of national and regional medical and dental leaders and educators to contribute to what we anticipate will be a varied, stimulating, informative and challenging programme.
There is an invited lecture on Workplace Behaviour, a key note address on Lessons from a Fellowship, symposia on Transitions in a Clinical Career and on Career Progression, parallel workshops in the morning and afternoon across a wide range of areas as well as opportunities to network with colleagues at break times and over lunch.
In addition to local talented educational leaders from HSC Trusts, NIMDTA and QUB, this year we welcome Dr Liz Donovan (Southampton), Mr Nicholas Taylor (COPDEND), Dr Margaret O’Brien (HSCB), Professor Bill Reid (COPMED), Dr Wendy Watson (Aberdeen), Ms Georgia Jones (HESW), Dr Anne Kilgallen (DCMO), Ms Heather Stevens (DHSSPS), Dr Joanne McClean (PHA), Dr Vicky Osgood (GMC), Professor Jennifer Cleland (Aberdeen), Ms Kirsty White (GMC) and Dr Paddy Woods (DCMO).
