NIMDTA’s Fifth Annual Educational Excellence Day is taking place online on Wednesday 15 June 2022 from 9:00am to 12:30pm.
We are delighted this year to welcome Professor Sir Michael McBride, Chief Medical Officer from the Department of Health to deliver the Keynote Address. Further information is available on the programme below. (Please note that the programme is subject to change).
We are going to acknowledge and acclaim the achievements of doctors, dentists, trainers and educators at this event through a series of awards in the following categories:
- Recognition of Examination Result
- Recognition of National Award
- Innovation in Training (Trainees)
- Innovation in Training (Trainer/Educator)
- Innovation in Training (Local Education Providers)
- Innovation in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Nominations are welcome from trainees, trainers and educators. Nominations can be made for one or more of these awards using the Educational Excellence Day Nomination Form. A nomination guidance document is available below.
A separate nomination form is required for each category submission. All completed nominations should be returned by 4pm on Wednesday 4th May 2022.
The year’s event will provide the 2021/22 ADEPT Clinical Leadership Fellows with the opportunity to present a summary and poster presentation of the projects that they have been engaged in during their 2021/22 ADEPT year at their host organisations.
We will also be presenting Innovations in Postgraduate Medical & Dental Education and Training in Northern Ireland from all HSCNI Trusts and NIMDTA.
Further to this we also have the opportunity to hear from NIMDTA’s Succeed Postgraduate Education Fellows who will update us on the positive impact of the SUCCEED programme within their specialty schools.
Finally the event will close with the announcements of Awards for Educational Excellence.
