The GMC are seeking practising clinicians to act as examiners for Part 2 of the PLAB test, which is an OSCE, taken at the GMC Clinical Assessment Centre in Manchester.
You must be able to demonstrate that you have the experience, knowledge and skills at the level of senior doctor within your specialty. This is either as an independent practitioner such as a Consultant or qualified GP, or as a senior doctor in your specialty and you must meet all other eligibility criteria, which includes having successfully completed membership examinations at the relevant medical college.
In particular, you must have knowledge and understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a doctor successfully completing F1. Applicants must be fully registered with a licence to practise and have a reasonable expectation of being in this position for at least five years. Applicants must be in good standing with the GMC and the relevant Royal College or faculty.
