The GMC will be running a training event aimed at doctors new to UK practice on 4 November in the Stormont Hotel, Belfast from 08:30-17:00.
The aim of the event is to help doctors new to UK practice understand the ethical and professional standards expected of them. The event will promote better understanding of our core guidance Good medical practice explore issues relevant to daily practice and in particular the challenges new doctors face.
During the day, delegates will:
- Hear from other doctors on their experiences of starting medical practice in the UK
- Explore the issues relating to medical ethics and practice in the UK
- Understand the role of the GMC and the support we provide
- Engage in training sessions covering team relationships, confidentiality, respect for patients, communications and ensuring equal access to care
The day is free and lunch will be provided. Places are limited to 25 and allocated on a first come first served basis.
