The Junior Doctors’ Prize Evening of the Ulster Medical Society will take place on Thursday 12th December 2013. The venue is the Ulster Medical Society Rooms in the Whitla Medical Building, which is situated behind the Medical Biology Centre, QUB.
All doctors in training in Northern Ireland in any specialism, to include primary and secondary care, are invited to submit abstracts for consideration for presentation. Abstracts can be on interesting cases, case series or relate to original medical research.
Submissions, in Microsoft Word Format and less than 200 words should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will be recognition of the most highly rated entries with the authors of a select number of submitted abstracts having the chance to present their work at the meeting, either as a poster or oral presentation. Abstracts of those entries accepted for presentation will be published in a forthcoming edition of the Ulster Medical Journal. The presentations that have been judged to be of the highest merit will also receive a prize.
The closing date for entries is Friday 10th November 2013.
A buffet will be provided before the meeting to start at 6 00pm.
