CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - Research for Clinicians Day 2024

 

NIMDTA, along with its sponsor partners; Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster Medical Society, and Ulster University are seeking abstract submissions to this year’s Research for Clinicians Day!

Research for Clinicians Day is an annual celebration event that provides a great opportunity for Medical and Dental Trainees to explore and engage with the breadth and depth of clinical research being performed by Trainees across Northern Ireland.

Trainees are encouraged to submit abstracts of original research work to be scored by a panel of expert judges, and if shortlisted, are then invited to present their research at the 'Research for Clinicians Day' celebration event, and compete for first place!

The event also features keynote addresses from world-renowned researchers and the opportunity to meet and network with respected Researchers from a variety of clinical research backgrounds.

The application window for abstract submissions is currently OPEN and will close on Friday 20th September 2024 at 12noon

Important Update: Medical Training (Prioritisation) Act becomes law

The Government’s Medical Training (Prioritisation) Act has now been passed by Parliament and become law. The Act brings in new rules which prioritise UK medical graduates for foundation training and give preference to UK graduates and doctors with significant NHS experience for specialty training.
