PSW host successful ‘Masterclass Session’
NIMDTA’s Professional Support & Wellbeing (PSW) Team held its first ‘Masterclass’ pilot session on Thursday 7th December in Corrs Corner Hotel, Newtownabbey
The event was titled ‘Support our Future Medical & Dental Workforce’ and is the first in series of Masterclass Sessions being rolled out by the PSW Team for Medical and Dental educators in Northern Ireland.
Roisin Campbell, Senior Professional Support Manager, NIMDTA said:
"The aim of the Masterclass Sessions is to enhance and develop the key skills of educators who educate and support our Junior Doctors and Dentists in training in Northern Ireland.
Delegates were presented with insight into the broad spectrum of support pathways and guidance PSW can provide. Delegates were inspired and benefited from presentations by PSW Case Managers on topics such as:
- Coaching & Mentoring
- Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
- Developing Strengths in Positive Psychology
The event was also an opportunity for colleagues to network, meet members of the PSW Team outside a clinical setting, and participate in a practical ‘Supporting Trainees’ workshop.
This was a very important and very enjoyable day for all who attended.
The next Masterclass Session will be announced in due course."
