Mr Peter May, Permanent Secretary and Mr Phil Rodgers, Director of Workforce Policy [DoH] visited Beechill House on Tuesday 6 June 2022.

Greeted by Mr Mark McCarey, Chief Executive & Dr Ian Steele, Postgraduate Medical Dean & Director of Education, the visit presented an opportunity to discuss the current work of NIMDTA, provide insight into the operational and strategic context of NIMDTA and discuss key issues as we continue to develop our Strategic Plan for 2023-28.

During the visit Mr May and Mr Rodgers met members of the NIMDTA Senior Management Committee, the NIMDTA Chair, and took the opportunity to view our premises and meet various members of staff.

Mr McCarey said, “I would like to thank both Mr May and Mr Rodgers for taking time to visit Beechill House today. It presented a great opportunity to meet face-to-face following many months of virtual contact. NIMDTA is at an early stage of preparing the framework for its strategic plan 2023-2028, and the discussions with the Permanent Secretary identified a couple of areas where we can work together in advance of the completion of this work. I look forward to engaging in this work throughout 2022-23, and am delighted that input from the Permanent Secretary’s office will help shape the future of NIMDTA operations.”
