Information for Trainees who have been asked to work in Independent / Private Hospital settings - Northern Ireland Medical & Dental Training Agency

Trainees who have been asked to assist in Independent / Private Hospital settings should be aware that the only mechanism for a clinician to work in these settings is either by being granted practising privileges by the independent / private hospital or as a result of being employed by that hospital. A request or invitation from a supervising consultant to assist in such settings would not meet this requirement, and trainees should seek advice directly from the hospital.
