Meet the Case Managers

The Professional Support and Wellbeing team has 4 case managers, see below profiles for reference:

Dr Mary Murnaghan

Associate Dean for Professional Support & Wellbeing

Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, BHSCT

In a previous life I was Head of School for O&G at NIMDTA for 13 years, FPD at the Mater Hospital (at the start of Foundation) and College Tutor for O&G at the Mater.

My interests are in trainee / trainer support, coaching and mentoring (completed a Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring at the University of Warwick and then a PG Cert in Applied Positive Psychology at New University of Buckinghamshire) and generally trying to improve the workplace environment for all.

Mother to 2 boys (now men) and wife to a dentist (deserving of an honorary dental degree!).  Jack of all trades possibly master of none??

Dr Julie Anderson

Professional Support & Wellbeing Lead

Consultant Psychiatrist, NHSCT

I have been part of the PSW team since February 2022. Most of my role is simply having 1:1 supportive meetings with trainees and I am also the mentor lead. For 5 years before taking up this post, I was the TPD in General Adult Psychiatry here at NIMDTA.

In my clinical role, I am a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHSCT, where I worked with the Newtownabbey CMHT for almost a decade. In May 2022 I started a new role, with the Perinatal CMHT. In the past within the NHSCT I was an Educational Supervisor and also the Undergraduate Psychiatry lead.

I have been the Psychiatry lead in Queen’s University since 2017. This has involved organising the psychiatry module in 4th year and in recent times, planning for the new C25 curriculum.

Outside of work, I’m involved in my local church, I love walking and have to do my daily 10k steps.  I also enjoy time with my family, friends, my dogs and drinking coffee!

Ms Roisin Campbell

Senior Professional Support Manager

Since 2021 I have been providing one to one support meetings with trainees.  I have a CIPD Level 7 Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring and use coaching as a tool to support trainees in goal setting and confidence building to meet the challenges of a medical career.

My background is HR in the deanery with responsibility for Recruitment, Equality, Development and Wellbeing.

I am a mother to 3 girls and enjoy spin classes and walking on the tow path and forest close to where I live.
