One to One Support

We hope that all trainees will access the services of Professional Support and Wellbeing (PSW).  At times all health care professionals will need additional support with their health and wellbeing while at work.

As a trainee you may be referred for one to one support by an Educator or you can also self-refer. There is a short online referral form which can be accessed via the link above.  Any trainee who has been issued with an ARCP outcome 2, 3 or 4 is advised to self-refer to PSW.

Each trainee will be allocated a Case Manager and will be invited to a confidential one to one support meeting with them.  The meeting normally takes place via zoom but can be facilitated face to face if that is preferred.  The allocated time for a meeting is 1 hour; trainees can meet with their case manager on a number of occasions if required.   Following the meeting, the Case Manager will provide a password protected note identifying action points and recommended referrals.  Referrals can be made to occupational health, an Educational Psychologist for dyslexia assessment, coaching or mentoring and counselling services may also be signposted.

The Case Manager will also provide feedback to the referrer (not applicable for self-referrals), which will be limited to a summary of actions agreed.
