How to become a Postgraduate Recognised Trainer

Since July 2016, it is a GMC requirement for a supervisor in a named Educational Supervisor (ES) or Clinical Supervisor (CS) role to be appropriately trained.

NIMDTA have developed the STATUS programme of courses to enable trainers to meet these requirements:

Supervisory Skills

Teaching the Teacher

Anti-discrimination (Equality and Diversity Training)

Trainee Support

Unique to Specialty/Programme (training unique to specialty – curriculum, WPBAs, supervisor’s reports, ARCP decision aids)
