SAS Professional Development Fund - Individual Applications

The SAS Professional Development Fund provides financial support to individual SAS doctors and dentists towards the cost of a clearly defined course of study or training. 

Successful applications should demonstrate a benefit to the individual SAS doctor or dentist by: 

  • Extending clinical skills or roles 
  • Supporting the development of new services or the improvement of existing services 
  • Enabling delivery of services with reduced direct supervision 

Some development activities, such as leadership or education‑focused training, will also deliver wider benefits to the HSC system. 

NB: Funding will not be provided where support is already available through local Trust study leave budgets.
